Mediocre At Best
I listened to this podcast hoping to find both great production and content, but it wasn't as strong as I had hoped. Production: This aspect of the podcast was absolutely fantastic. The speaking voice was extremely clear and crisp, and the background sounds were great. Production is clearly a strength for these authors, and they completely hit the mark on this part of it. Content: Extremely weak and disappointing. The authorship and writing were amateurish and hackneyed. The writing is of the caliber that you would expect from an introductory writing course where the elements of style and structure are wildly misunderstood. Great writing requires so much more than just storytelling, but that's all you get with this content. Recommendation: Leverage the strength of this podcast (ie the excellent production quality) and blend it with great content (ie authors like Edgar Allen Poe) and this podcast will become a total WINNER with lots of subscribers. There is so much well-written material that is available that will align with the NoSleep concept, so why not use it? Best wishes to those who produce this. Stick with your strengths, but find stronger content.Read full review »
