Always enjoy your show Florence, you communicate complicated information in an accessible and balanced way. Would have been great to consider some dietary iodine sources for the thyroid episode and about how all women can support their own thyroid health. Keep up the amazing show

I really like Florence’s show - she makes complicated medical information more accessible and I feel is making a very positive impact on my work as a doula and hypnobirthing teacher. I often signpost clients to this show to expand their own knowledge and to help them make decisions that are right...Read full review »

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Florence’s podcast. She was my registrar many years ago and I recognised her calm manner of speaking, kindness and common sense approach in her podcast with her advice. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the episodes!

Oh I just adore this podcast! One of my all time favourites. It is so refreshing to hear a birthing podcast from a doctor’s perspective. Florence not only has the world’s most calming voice but she is so educated (obviously) and aware of her position and influence. She is thoughtful, insightful...Read full review »

So valuable having the opinions and insights of an experienced working Obstetrician out in the public arena, how often does this happen? The topics so important and interesting. Student midwives, practicing midwives and women considering pregnancy should all be listening!

Well done on talking and demystifying many of the things we are told about GD, having been someone who was in the GD clinic I was lucky to be informed but many aren’t and there is huge fear about it! Thank you

I have listened to every episode of this wonderful podcast (76 and counting). It never fails to inspire, giving new insights about all aspects of maternity care; wonderful and so unusual that this is from an obstetrician’s perspective. Florence is widely known as #FabObs Flo and you will see why....Read full review »

I’m a midwife and this podcast is so informative, balanced and relevant to my work. It helps me to keep up to date with the evidence base and to explain obstetric conditions to the people I care for. It’s great for learning- should be required listening for all obstetricians and midwives.

We must be almost exact contemporaries and my experiences as an SHO and junior registrar (the episodes I’ve listened to so far) were very similar. A midwife friend recommended your podcast to me and I’m enjoying it immensely so far. Thanks for your efforts!

As a midwife I do appreciate your woman-centred language and how you desire change for the women in your health system. I am introducing your podcast to all my midwife and obstetric colleagues and hoping to do a lithotomy challenge in our unit soon. Thanks for leading change through your podcast.

Have listened to this podcast non stop since discovering it, it’s brilliant. Such an interesting insight into the way things are done and why and I think it’s so refreshing to hear a medical professional challenging the system. I don’t know why I’m so late to this party but I’m so glad I’ve found the podcast now! Such an honest and direct way of explaining things. As a third year student midwife I especially loved the zesty piece in episode 1. Just wish all maternity staff were reminded of this periodically!

Loved this. Really interesting to hear how the approach to breech birth has changed over the years & how it feels to embrace change despite the discomfort it causes initially. Helpful to understand where some of the myths come from!

Thank you for this, for your refreshing approach to obstetrics and sharing it. As a pregnant woman You have made me feel less fearful of a transfer to hospital and more in control of that if it happens.

Thank you I listen to these podcasts during my daily walk, as a midwife I so appreciate the women-centred language you use.
