“Although this has become my favorite podcast, I must say I didn't like listening to it (or Dr. Osterholm's expertise) at all when I first heard it. In the early days of the pandemic, I didn't want to believe that we may in this for the long haul. But, the more I listened, the more I realized that Dr. Osterholm is providing us all a great service. The podcast is an honest and clear-headed discussion and analysis of current news and developments. He encourages listeners to prepare for the worst and admits that he doesn't have all the answers, yet urges us to take our own proactive steps to manage our collective anxiety and confusion. Armed with good, clear information, we are not powerless; we can affect the outcome of this pandemic. The podcast is also refreshingly free of politically charged rhetoric and views. Dr. Osterholm's words couldn't be more true when he says that people "can handle hard truths" as long as information is given in a honest and direct way.
