This subject will examine the cultural, architectural and political history of the Ottoman Empire from, spanning its history from the fourteenth century to the First World War.

With all respect, i don't know that the number 10 has much significance in Islam. The 10 disciples the speaker mentions are the first 10 people promised Paradise among the Prophet's many companions. Not able to work?
