This week we’re talking about things that we’re not very good at, like podcasting, but still really enjoy. Basically, we’re taking failure back from all the people who are doing it wrong, and if anything, 99 episodes of this podcast are a testament to the possible successes of continuing to fail.

We were having a real hard time coming up with a topic this week, because Robot’s dog died on Sunday, and it’s all he can think about. Django was among the best boys ever. He was quick with a joke. He smelled awful, and if you knew him, you loved him. He’s a real loss for the universe. So we’re going to talk about that, because it’s what we’re going to talk about.

This week John takes a look at the bike industry and rather than some of his more curmudgeonly observations about the nature of eternal forward progress, he (perhaps grudgingly) admits that when we take stock of the last 50 years of bike development, there can be no doubt that today's bikes are better. Patrick takes on a listener question about why cycling is the perfect sport to comprehend the physical world around us. But is it the only one?
