I read the book ‘My child’s different’ which is really great so I was keen to listen to the podcasts. They’re short, with lots of good parenting tips and I feel that I get so much out of them that my relationship with my daughter has improved massively.

I love the Parent Practice. I’ve done one of their courses and it has made me feel so much more on the front foot with parenting. Thank you for doing these pod casts. Easy to listen and filled with useful and practical tips.

Lots of practical advice grounded in solid research and experience. I really appreciated the guests' humility in sharing their "low parenting moments," showing us that even experts make mistakes as parents. I especially liked Susan Stiffelman's advice to think about what it is...Read full review »

I’m absolutely loving the Parent Practice Podcast! They are the perfect length to listen to while I’m doing jobs around the house and I now have a dedicated note book to write down all of the gems of wisdom or things I want to investigate further. I’m learning so much and am so grateful to...Read full review »

Loved this episode, it was packed full of info and takeaways, things that I can implement straight away. I found the academic research references perfect to illustrate why this is all important - but also difficult!

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, really useful and helpful content. Do you do courses by any chance?

I was introduced to Parent practice through a talk arranged by my work place. I loved Mellisa’s passion and delivery that I went straight on the internet to find out as much as I could about their work. When I found out that they were going to start a pod cast, I was over the moon. I have now...Read full review »

Really enjoyed the first episode with Dr Laura Markham talking about things like emotion coaching. So useful alongside the parenting online course. Looking forward to more episodes to come

This is one of the best podcast episodes I have listened to and will give confidence and take away tips you can easily implement straight away to be a calmer parent. Laura Markhams STOP, DROP and BREATH tip is simple and one I'm going to be using from today. I also loved the tip on...Read full review »

Thank you Melissa and Elaine, I’ve enjoyed both your books and to have the podcast is perfect to tap into on the go. This episode couldn’t have come at a better time as I recognise the benefit (but also the challenge ) in staying calm. I love the idea of stop, drop and breathe and am grateful the...Read full review »

The first episode was just what I needed - I’d been talking with a friend who was struggling with her children and herself. This podcast gave an overview of effective parenting AND had enough specifics to prompt concrete action. Can’t wait for the next one!

I’ve taken the Parent Practice course and the principles that they teach WORK - without the shouting, anger and stress that seems traditionally to have come with the territory! This podcast is another layer of learning that I’m delighted to add to my evolving knowledge of how to parent calmly....Read full review »

A really clear and concise round-up of 60+ years of psychology research into parenting, with three clear areas on which to focus: connection, empathy (or emotion coaching) and self-regulation. Well worth a listen! I look forward to hearing more. 🙏❤️😘😘

I’m been a big fan of the Parent Practice, their workshops and advice have made me a much better parent. I really enjoyed this interview, Dr.Markham understands that we all shout but explains that it’s how you deal with it and how to regulate your own emotions. She also talks about emotion...Read full review »

Really interesting podcast that explains how important it is to build a strong connection with our child. As parents, we often shout at our child's behaviour and it's good to know that this comes from our emotions of fear and anxiety - which triggers our Fight Flight and Freeze response....Read full review »
