“I’m beginning to suspect a conspiracy. It seems that the best advice each of Michael’s guest interviewees has ever received has been “to listen”. Use your two ears and your one mouth in that ratio, as one guest put it. Coincidence or conspiracy, when Michael has a podcast to promote....?? You decide!
Regardless of whether or not this stock answer was planted, it really is an excellent podcast. In fact I’m probably doing the interviewees a disservice by suggesting that they’d act as Michael’s puppets! They’re so passionate and genuine, and open, in their answers. If you like growing grass, and want to know how to farm cattle and sheep in a better and more profitable way then this podcast is for you. If you like the occasional rugby chat, it has that too. Humorous jokes?... occasionally. Lame jokes?.... those too, but all wrapped up in an interview where the warmth and friendship between interviewer and interviewee shines through.
The thing I most appreciate is Michael’s gently probing interview style. I hear a guest mention something and find myself saying “What? Tell me more. Expand on what you’ve just said”. Thankfully, Michael seems to be doing the same: He doesn’t let these things slide by. He nudges and prods until he, and we, have a full explanation.
Subscribe to The Pasture Pod. It’s worth it. Because it’s free.”
