The Pearson Family, through The Thomas L. Pearson and The Pearson Family Members Foundation, has given a landmark $100 million gift to the University of Chicago to establish The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts and The Pearson Global Forum at the Harris School of Public Policy. On September 30, 2015, University of Chicago President Robert J. Zimmer and Daniel Diermeier, Dean of the Harris School of Public Policy, announce The Pearson Institute and introduce Richard Haass, President of the Council on Foreign Relations, followed by a panel discussion with: • Colonel (Ret.)
