As we’ve spoken about on some recent episodes of the podcast, December is a key time to focus on engagement with your team, and despite feeling like we’d love to crawl under the desk, this is not the time to do that. But it’s about more than just engagement at this time of year, there are number of other things we should be doing before the year is out to set ourselves up for a better 2024. Some of the things that should be on our list for December include: Doing a compliance check for the year that’s gone, are your documents up to date?Do your clean slate exercise, so you have a resourcing plan for the year ahead;Map out your calendar for key team events in 2024;Close any open loops – have you done what you promised your people this year?Thank your people!Give them something to look forward to in 2024;Give yourself space to plan.
