Really excellent, but for one small thing…
I’d give this one five stars if it weren’t for the all-too-frequent advertisement breaks that last at least three minutes— that’s longer than commercial breaks on network television (average is around two to two and a half minutes). She always calls it a “quick” break, but it really isn’t, especially compared with most other podcasts I’ve heard. Otherwise, truly one of the best true crime podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Very excellent research and reporting, and I love that they don’t put all of the emphasis on the cops or the killers; they actually do a great job of making the Roden family feel like real, three dimensional people.

More reviews of The Idaho Massacre
Gonna guess the host isn’t from Ohio based off of how she said Scioto River. Other than that it’s a really well done show. Can’t wait for more episodes

The story is riveting, the archival audio is great but the narrator is practically whispering all of her parts. I have to constantly adjust the volume because she can’t match the audio from witnesses and interviews. I’m struggling to hear what the narrator or is saying.

Really frustrating - very soft and hard to hear - and then the ads are super loud
