Great show but…
I think there’s a little too much effort put into trying to make the show SUPER dramatic with all the ominous music and tones. It’s very informative but sometimes things that interviewees say gets repeated immediately after by the hosts in a slightly different way. I don’t see the point. It’s not nearly enough to make me stop listening though. However, I came close though when the host mentioned BTK in S5:E7 and called him Dennis Radar (like Big Bird’s teddy bear). I thought it was just an innocent mistake but then she said it 20 more times. I’d have thought someone doing a podcast that is being heard by thousands of true crime junkies would get the name of a prolific serial killer - like Dennis Rader - that everyone has heard of (and all know how to say his name) right. Guess not.

More reviews of The Idaho Massacre
Gonna guess the host isn’t from Ohio based off of how she said Scioto River. Other than that it’s a really well done show. Can’t wait for more episodes

The audio isn’t consistent in loudness, but everything else is great. Host’s voice is excellent, and it’s likely misogyny that’s leading to criticism of her voice since women’s voices are typically under scrutiny. Looking forward to the next episodes.

The podcast has the potential to be interesting and the topic, while tragic, is intriguing but the production of the podcast is just bad. The audio is quiet and the ads (of which there are 3 in this half hour hour podcast...) are incredibly loud. Lose the ads, sort the audio and I'm in.Read full review »
