Born in, still finding my way completely out
From the time she is born, or possibly even conceived, this religion forces an individual to disown and have crushed and separated from her, all of who she is and who God made her to be personally; and instead, be welded and melded into a regulated forced communal identity of someone else's rules, opinions, preferences and iniquities. Welded by continual pain, torture and trauma, forced to have your whole identity melted into disintegration until it dissolves and fastens with theirs. And then, because that is not yet enough, heated even more, until every bit of who you were is liquified and melded into who they are, losing every part of you to become one of them, to the point that you have no clue anymore of who you even originally were. This religion is wicked. It's not about God at all. PS. I come from Conservative Mennonite Church of Ontario, Nation Wide Fellowship, and Brotherhood church connections, consecutively. It makes me really angry to read heartless comments on here suggesting that the people who have risked sharing extremely painful parts of their lives would be exaggerating or making it up in order to get a good story. Such comments do, however, very accurately expose the exact kind of minimizing, denial and blatant disbelief and condemnation towards the victim while sticking up for the religion, that is so often happens exactly like this by people in those churches toward someone who dares to tell.Read full review »
