I came across the Ruth Galloway books via my Father (a retired policeman with whom I share an addiction to crime novels) and I devoured them all in a matter of months. I love Ruth - such a relatable character - but having now read all the books I missed escaping into her world in Norfolk. The...Read full review »

I just discovered this podcast on Elly Griffiths Facebook page. I decided I would start with the first episode as I did with her novels. I’ve read every novel in order that she’s written. And I always anticipate the next. My library has bought every single one of Elly’s books and they continue to...Read full review »

I am really enjoying Elly Griffith’s new podcast. As well as being a fabulous author, she comes across as likable and fun. And with her editor, then Ann Cleeves, as her first two guests, the content has been riveting! Please keep the episodes coming!

Episode 2 is a great conversation between the two mystery writers who seem to understand better than most that places are more than a setting in which action occurs. In their books, places have agency; they shape the behavior of characters, drive their behavior, and, in some cases, turn the...Read full review »

I love writing podcasts. I learn so much from them and this one was recommended to me. However the host Elly constantly interrupts her guests, and detracts the flow of the conversation with her own snippets and insertions. It’s so annoying i’m afraid i’m going to have the rest of this series a miss.
