Loved seasons 3 and 2 (not 1)
Season 3 is one of the best listening experiences I’ve ever had! I knew very little about Lucille and Desi, except seeing a few episodes of I Love Lucy when I was a kid. Wow, what a story! I’m recommending this season to everybody! I listened to season 2 first and loved it. Great storytelling. I loved the mix of narration, present day interviews, and audio from back in the day. A great look behind the scenes. I found season 1 to be quite the opposite. It focuses on a self-absorbed, emotionally underdeveloped, deeply flawed man and lets him tell the whole story in his own words. The season is an uncritical, unthinking presentation of events that warrant more digging and deeper analysis.

More reviews of The Plot Thickens
I have been spending some of my extra time watching classic movies. This podcast has been a great introduction into the best movies, actors and also sets the scene for the movie industry of the 60s and beyond. Can’t wait for more and would love to hear some more TCM content.

I was elated when the next episode on Peter Bogdanovich appeared on my feed. Really enjoying this podcast. I wonder who will be next?

Ben is a natural podcast host. Looking forward to seeing this series develop further. (Choose William Friedkin for your next director!)
