I understand the angle of this podcast is to critique online culture, trends and art. But it is rare (if ever?) that the hosts applaud any of the subjects in their podcasts. Given that their subject is often a woman (Taylor swift, Emerald Fennell, Amy Schumer, Selena Gomez) or an online trend birthed and perpetuated by mostly women/femmes (Stanley cups, mob wife aesthetic, skin care routines, etc) the rhetoric comes across as a consistent battering of people or ideas in the feminine space. I enjoyed the commentary on Taylor Swift but at some point during the ep it was no longer a critique on society’s relentless appraisal of the slim, white woman but just a 30 minute hate rant at one of the most successful women in the world 😂(There are countless A-list male celebrities to target before resorting to this??)
