Of course, some of this advice may make sense, properly metered. Like all good things, a dynamic tension exists between narrow myopia and scattered dilettantism. All of us are more than 'one thing' yet we risk dissipating our scarce energies and focus if we try to do too much.
Jeff, tell me you'll stick with some timeless fundamentals such as purpose, vocation, and calling in your new context of the "Portfolio Life." Please assure us that focus, hard work against priorities, and the pursuit of mastery still matter.
