Shawn and Alan approach the work and life of Tolkien knowledgeably while creating a space for fun, speculation, and scholarship all at the same time. My gosh do they know their Tolkien. I'm a college professor (in a different field) who has read The Silmarillion three times, and I didn't pick up on half the things that they did. Plus they know the fragmentary works also. A necessity for any Tolkien fan.Read full review »
