“If you have enjoyed Tolkien’s books this podcast will enrich your pleasure greatly. The hosts focus on the etymology as much as the plot of the books. The tone is down to earth, no pomposity, with lots of pop culture and music references to make the experience gentle and fun.
Shawn and Alan’s chemistry was amazing and when Shawn needed to drop back from regularly co-hosting it felt like the magic might be broken, but far from it. The new hosts offer new perspectives, expertise as well as the gentle and cheeky humour the show thrives on.
