“This is the good part of this—Karen and Kel tell you what you don’t want to hear, but not what your supervisor will tell you. As a grad student who just couldn’t get the untold rules of the academic market, the professor is in spelled them out for me, even those I didn’t know I needed to know. As an ex grad student who still has a lot to learn, now for me AND for my students, i find so important to break with the custom of the implicit academia.
