Best podcast for academics and academics-to-be
I knew TPII blog, and I recently bought the book upon a friend's suggestion. I am trying to get my academic career started, and I can say that TPII has been fundamental in helping me writing the applications, but also in understanding academic culture and practices much better. My application materials are much more organised and clear than before, and I finally became aware of the perils of behaving like a grad student! The podcast expands on topics that are in the book and in the blog, talks about new stuff, and you can also get access to much more (exclusive episodes, AMAs...) if you are a premium member and join the community. I like the straightforward style, Karen and Kel give you all the information you need without beating around the bush. If you want a better shot at an academic career, look no further!Read full review »
