“I absolutely love this podcast. Makes we want to go to law school! It’s like Brett is inside my head. He always goes down the rabbit holes I’m interested in. I love all the deep dives and multi-parters. The two are so smart and insightful and delightful. Honestly, I would never have guessed that in real life they hold social and political views so different from my own. But their off-pod opinions NEVER enter the podcast. So why should mine? I am always struck by the genuine humanity and empathy they bring to each case. The Prosecutors is thorough, fascinating, and I could listen for hours. So, I’m still IN! HERES MY QUESTION FOR THEM: True Crime listeners have heard of many crimes perpetrated by individuals posing as law enforcement. Fake arrests leading to abductions etc. what rights does an “Average Jane” have to question say a cop pulling her over, or wanting to take her in for questioning? How could she verify that the law enforcement officer is legit? Don’t want to be seen to be“resisting arrest.” What would each of you do? What are our rights?”
