Lovely to listen to, huge knowledge carried lightly and given generously
I found this fantastic podcast a week ago while frantically hatching dragons day and night for a Christmas fair( they are well behaved dragons!), and needing something to keep me awake I found this excellent podcast via a tip from Medieval History Hit. I have grieved to lose one if the stars of that podcast, Cat, and was delighted to find she had a podcast of her own together with two very learned and nice gentlemen I then knew nothing about ( being Swedish I know hardly anything about famous Brits😉, sorry!) The true delight in listening to this podcast is that, when they are clearly people of great learning, they never act patronisingly towards the listener or to each other and the occasional banter is given and taken with perfect good British humour. You clearly get that these are great friends and enjoy each others company ( or if not they are remarkable actors!).The subjects are sometimes hilarious but always entertaining and one gets to know such odd and interesting stuff-I haven’t listened yet to the episode about dragons but am of course looking forward to it! Being a fellow Scandinavian I am also looking forward to listen to next weeks topic for Cat, the Nisse, or as we say in Sweden, the Tomte, who protects the farms and the animals and people who lives in them. On Christmas Eve I will of course serve our tomte a dish of hot rice porridge with cinnamon and butter-is there a similar tradition for the Nisse in Norway? I hope you will continue this podcast for a very long time-to the deligt of me and the dragons and to, I am sure, countless other listeners around the world! Thank you!

I absolutely loved it! So relaxing to listen to the trio chat about miscellaneous subjects, I am learning new or recalling trivia learned years ago. And perfect to keep me company while I’m gardening.

I must say this is one of the best podcasts I’ve heard for a long time! It’s engaging, interesting and informative. Really easy listening, the three presenters make the subjects interesting and the bonus is you’re learning something new. Can’t wait for the next one.😊❤️
