The Raven is a fabulous ride through the underworld of privilege and power. It’s a collision between inept investigators and prosecutors and the defensive attorneys who were ready to exploit their weaknesses. Tim Livingston is a sensational investigative journalist, personality, and storyteller.

Never imagined this story would lead to a link with Art Moddell and the Cleveland Browns then back to the NFL and the Baltimore Ravens. Rap music even played a role. It is a sad story all around, especially for friends and family of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar. Thought-provoking, and the...Read full review »

I’ve listened to dozens of true crime podcasts. Actually probably over 100. This podcast is the best. Truly don’t understand how anyone could not give them 5 stars

I listened to all episodes thinking something new and revealing would be discussed, but that never happened. Not really sure what the point of this podcast was. Totally pointless!
Don Castro via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/08/24
Interviews with a lot of background noise. Goes off topic with hosts own unrelated story. Slow paced with retelling of the same moments and a lot of unnecessary filler.
bombdig12 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/08/24
The ratings on here are misleading. Most 5 stars come before episodes were even released. This is just an ok podcast. This is basically just repeating what was already known. Clearly, the people interviewed have biased opinions. Some of the reviews on this podcast even show that as well. If you...Read full review »

No resolution or interview with Ray Lewis. Let’s lead with that. The last episode is weird. So while I’m at ATL native and grew up hearing about this case, it didn’t reveal a whole lot. I had hopes this would really bring about what happened but we still don’t know. Just broke my heart for his...Read full review »

Halfway into 2nd episode and I have to turn it off. The background conversations are too distracting from the conversation of the podcast. Unfortunate because I found it interesting…
Ceigbrett via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/05/24
This is a joke. The trial already happened. Everyone wants to blame Ray Lewis. Oakley started the fight and they were in limo leaving and Akron group saying stuff escalated the whole thing. Anyway
ussemperfimc via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/05/24
I love this. So well done, and not overly sensational or accusatory (toward any party). I’ve not been this into a pod since Serial or UAV S1. Well done.
erikamcneil via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/03/24
What happened to the fact Rucker claimed Lewis “held victims arms while he got stabbed?” No chance what was read would have had any impact. This is just an attempt to have a “podcast” lol
TonyB507 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/02/24
As others have said, I’m a sports fan and a true crime guy. Very well done and balancing both sides. I also have to say that Ray Lewis’ verbal diarrhea about Jesus is exhausting, but necessary for the story.

Man, this was really great. Great research and presentation…being somewhat new to podcasts, based on my limited view, this is top notch. Well done!

This thing went from an intriguing exposè, to a pile of pandering propaganda in favor of Ray Lewis. This podcast went off the rails at so many points that I had a hard time finishing and when I did complete this dubious roller coaster, I felt so empty inside. Giving this con artist and...Read full review »

The Raven is somewhat boring. No real new information. No suspense. I'm not sure this needed to be a podcast, maybe a magazine article would have sufficed.Read full review »

As a true crime connoisseur, and an avid sports fan, this is definitely worth your time to listen to.

The host continues to mention he wants Ray Lewis on so he can finally tell his story. Lewis already told his story; he testified in open court. There’s no reason or upside for him to give the podcast interview
MattLight_Diso via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/23/24
Very well done. And for the guy who said “no new info” he obviously did not listen to the podcast. Anyone who says their is no evidence is either balls deep on is ween, or a Ravens fan who is willing to trade people’s lives to make the Super Bowl guy look good.

Wow
If you think wealth and power SHOULD skew the justice system than you will love this podcast. I especially love how the place blame on the victims, their families, and the authorities but have now issue with the murder, corruption, or obstruction of justice.

The topic is interesting. Payne did not do this story justice. His words investigation was weak. He just read public records. Step it up.
Paul 86538 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/23/24
Meh
Lots of ads, not a lot of real info. This could’ve been in one 1-hour podcast. A lot of drama and very little “meat” on the bone.
lbahhhhh via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/22/24
Smoke and mirrors. This series promises new evidence and delivers nothing but drama. In 24 years NOBODY at any time has ever put motive or weapon in Ray Lewis’s hands. The new evidence centers around whether Lewis actually “tussled” with anyone. Reality is that there was zero evidence about any...Read full review »

Review written after listening to episode 3. I change my mind after each episode I listen to. At this point I have no idea if he got away with murder...lol.

Another great job from Payne L and Tenderfoot media. The guy got away with murder. Hopefully he’s remorseful one day and confesses.

Hope this gets onto Hulu or HBO as a documentary. Ray Lewis got away with assisting in a murder - which is murder. Ray should be in jail. And that he uses “ God’s plan” as some sort of excuse or explanation for his behavior is blasphemous. Bad person; great podcast.

This is a story that has never been told. How can you not love it. Thanks for going deep!
Cronie6114 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/01/24
I’ve always believed Ray Lewis was guilty as sin. But as we know, if you can play football, you can get away with all sorts of things, including murder. Thanks for putting this out there and shining the light on something that many have tried to keep hidden in a dark corner.
Kwftx via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/31/24
I’m no Ray Lewis apologist, but this is nonsense. The narrator is not an “investigative journalist”. He’s a story teller, a bad interviewer and pretty awful at recording audio. Tenderfoot TV and Payne Lindsay and squad are making a living off of one good season 5 years ago. Your product has...Read full review »

Tim, it seems, tends to operate at the intersection of snake oil and investigative journalism. Absolutely no new discoveries/information that a listener might find interesting, useful or insightful regarding either the NBA Donaghy gambling pod or The Raven pod. Expecting people to pay to listen, to a podcast? Especially when you already have multiple advertisers? Yeah, no thanks. This is not the way. It's greedy, kind of like a restaurant asking for a tip when you pick up carry out. It's cringey.Read full review »

Can’t wait to follow this mystery about finding the truth. It’s as compelling to listen to as the Whistleblower podcast done by Tenderfoot. Looking forward to another excellent piece of investigative journalism! Love the narrator!

Yipee. At last I’m hoping for something as mysterious as Atlanta monster to listen to and fill that gap. Everything Payne Lindsey does is excellent so I’m giving this a go, just waiting for a few more episodes to avoid waiting too long between each.
Andy_Bez via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/14/24
Quoth the Raven… This is edge of your seat, fingernail biting, nerve wracking, tragedy/ drama/who dun it. Love Livingston’s voice, it’s like he’s telling the story that only he knows the ending even though we all do, or do we? Can. Not. Wait!
CMMchatty via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/13/24
Always wondered why this investigation seemed to go away. Great job by Tim and team building up the story. Ray Lewis seemed to find religion at just the right time. Keep it coming!
