Good but very lightweight. Don’t look for bold handling of major controversies here.
I came back to this after a year away (I couldn’t take any more because it was just too plain vanilla in the subjects it handled). It is good, but also so shallow there’s no need to even wear trainer armbands in this pool of skepticism. Unfortunately, and it may have been bad timing, but I immediately heard an episode containing a piece about red-pilling. It concentrated on men’s rights activists and, true to form, only mentioned in passing the far more serious threat of red-pilling and fascism. Red-pilling online is a major reason for the surge in recruitment to violent right-wing groups. If you want to know more, try Bellingcat’s excellent reporting on this because you won’t anything to match it on this podcast. Come on, Reality Checker team, you’re skeptics and rationalists, do I have to start quoting Bertold Brecht let alone Martin Niemöller to you?

I love the show! Those guys are smart, funny, and open-minded. Thanks to them, what I hold to be true, my understanding of the world, improve each week, and so many of my false beliefs were crushed to pieces. You're sure to learn, laugh, and have a real good informative time amongst friends.Read full review »
