I loved your show. Best podcast on HMT.

I do like the material that you both discuss. However can you please stop saying “Right?” After almost each statement you make. It’s almost so distracting/annoying that I can’t keep listening. Please just take this as constructive criticism. Thanks!

Loved your take on season 1. Are you guys doing season 2???

I loved following along during all the podcasts of season 1, please come back and do a season 2!

I want to like this podcast - I think that the idea behind it is great. However, it is hard to listen to. Like, every word is "like" and I think it makes the 2 hosts sound vapid and grating when they are actually very intelligent and well-read. The "likes" and upspeak and the...Read full review »

I'm on the third episode and hoping it will get better, I may have to stop as this podcast can be infuriating. They say in the first episode that they won't focus on the book, but they keep bringing up that the book is better and complain about the show. I like the show, which is why I...Read full review »

Sorry , the podcast does not appeal to me..rushed and unprofessionally put together

I am having a hard time listening to this otherwise interesting discussion because it's so jarring to repeated hear the ritualized rape as "sex". Word choice matters a lot in this issues and I'm disappointedRead full review »

The way in which these ladies speak of all things handmaids tale is smart. It is also funny as hell. I've nearly had to pull over in my car while listening.Read full review »

You guys are great. Love listening to your podcast. I like that you break down and talk in detail about every episode. Also like that you talk about how this series compares to the book. Also FYI, there was one black commander in the 10th episode at the hearing.

It's one of my favorite books, I've read it countless times. Enjoying the series as well, and have listened to several podcasts covering it. So far this one is the most enjoyable for me. I like the format with recaps at the beginning leading into a discussion of the episode. I don't...Read full review »

I really enjoy this podcast and always view the show from a new lens when listening. I appreciate the insights and points. My only complaint is the amount of verbal fillers the hosts use. They really need to fix this, as it is distracting and takes away from the content. Repeatedly, you will...Read full review »

These two do a good job with analysis. There were criticisms earlier in the season of them overusing the word like, but they've definitely corrected that overuse. I like this to complement Red All Over as a no nonsense and to the point cast.Read full review »

The two people doing this podcast don't seem to be understanding even the most basic aspects of the story, or the world that it is showing us. I'm frankly baffled by their lack of understanding.

They seem to have a limited point of view and lacking in detail - I often feel their interpretation is one sided and with an agenda. I don't understand if they dislike the show so much why they are doing a podcast about it??? I love the book and I love the Hulu adaptation of the material. ...Read full review »

Couldn't make it through the first episode when it became clear that one of the hosts was completely unprepared to articulate what happened in an episode. She missed key scenes and couldn't wait to move on. The other host was smooth yet energetic (rare) but they both spend too long...Read full review »

Sometimes I feel like the hosts have never heard of hyperbole or metaphors? Fiction is meant to be hyperbolic to send a message and I find it really strange that they are so puzzled about what the people of Gilead believes in. Fundamentalist Christianity is brutal and isn't meant to be...Read full review »

As a white man watching this show I felt like I was missing out on some important perspectives to fully grasp this show. The two hosts do an excellent job at filling that gap. Instead of just blindly recapping the show like so many lesser podcasts, they pick important topics and go in-depth on...Read full review »

I really wanted to enjoy this podcast, I loved the Westworld theory cast. But this seems like there's an effort to provide details but there's not enough homework. For example - the question of the capital - the US capital in Alaska makes sense because there are only 2 states left. The...Read full review »

I like some of their thoughts but they don't articulate them all that well. I'm sure I am guilty of saying "like" too much, but I don't have a podcast. Slow down and have a better outline and it may help the flow. I try again later.Read full review »

These women seem to have some good insight, yet miss some major items. For example, ep 5, they say Ofglens new wife is nice- no other explanations are possible? Come on... it's speculative, speculate! The reason I unsubscribed though, was the sheer overuse of "like" and upspeak....Read full review »

I am really enjoying listening to this analysis of the show. At times I am surprised by how different my take is, and at others I nod along or am taken aback at glaring plot hole I missed. I've listened to several episodes of this podcast, and I think the panelists are very smart in some ways, but in other ways they miss points that seem so obvious to me that it drives me up a wall. This is the podcast I save for long, motivating walks. Really good, smart hosts and contextualized (historical, social, political) discussion of both Hulu's Handmaid's Tale and Atwood's text.
