Thanks for the laughs!!!

In the last month, this podcast added inline ads. Between how they’re played - randomly without warning - and the content of the ads - loud, noisy ads that don’t fit the rest of the show - they really detract from the show. Michael and team, if you’re reading this, please reconsider how you’re...Read full review »

The quality of the guests is outstanding.

Great show, conducting thorough research for each episode. Bravo! The last one was not of the same quality. I found the guests to be biased as often happens with britons when discussing Russia. A more balanced mix of views would be welcome, as the topic is of utmost importance in the current...Read full review »

Broad spectrum of themes, extremely well written. Strongly recommend.

Great podcast, particularly the Cabo Delgado episode. The conflict in Mozambique has huge implications for all of Southern Africa and is not covered by msm. A beautiful country with huge potential which is devastated by conflict and the misdirection of resources. An episode on the kidnappings of...Read full review »

Middle guest sounds like a guy from the industry. I don’t like to be rude, but I enjoy interesting conversations, I think I am hearing low grade explanations on why the failures of the past mean why the industry can’t innovate. I would love to hear why we can apply 2030 tech and apply it to...Read full review »

Probably one of the best sources of analysis in this format on a wide range of emerging global issues.

How do you have a serious episode talking about Africa / African countries, people and issues and not feature a single African speaker? At least two episodes have done this. It undermines the credibility of the show. Reconsider how you can feature those experts as well.
BecksPH via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/19/23
It’s interesting topics, the guests can talk without being interrupted and they have good guests. Thou, I would wish there was more heterodoxy. The guests rarely disagrees and they seem to always be on the Washington side of things. There is so much more out there.

Episode 94 audio editing is painfully bad - there is an echo and dead silence and the volume is different between host and guest However normally the episodes are well researched and informative and very interesting, they have credible guests and the questions and framing are all incredibly well...Read full review »

I enjoyed the older podcasts. Maybe a year old or longer? They were mostly informative and to the point. The climate change alarmism episodes turned me off. Also hosts voice is drowning.

Great wide-ranging podcast that features quite a few informative guests. On more than one occasion I’ve gone into a weekly niche topic knowing nothing and assuming it’s not engaging and coming out feeling very different. Occasionally there’s some audio issues but that’s bound to happen when...Read full review »

You have episodes on Russia and China but no Russian and China guests or analysts. It would make it more balanced.

The format is much copied (cf. The Enquiry and The Briefing Room on BBC) But the questioning is good and the answers are taught. I have yet to hear a serious discussion about a pre-emptive nuclear strike. The fear of using nuclear weapons is understandable, but they just do the same job with...Read full review »

The guests and the topics are interesting, but the bias towards US/EU positions is way too obvious, it would be great to hear different perspectives… not just the Dept. of State’s position on things.

Great podcast. Well researched and always very good guests. The speaker could do to vary his voice a bit though. It’s sometimes hard to tell if he’s asking a rhetorical question to the audience, or if he’s asking a question to the guest, until you hear the guest answer.

This podcast does not follow the pack. It sheds light on important stories regardless of where they are in the world or if they’re top of the current news cycle. The Cabo Delgado episode is a great example of this: a conflict that gets little coverage yet could destabilise southern Africa....Read full review »

Lying and exaggerating climate change is not the way to convince people. Anyone who takes the time to look at the data knows climate change is not the threat your pretend experts project. No wonder so many people reject the elites desire to take control. If all we get is repeatedly lied to who...Read full review »

The host has created an innovative format, allowing three different experts to go in-depth on one newsworthy topic. He sets up the topic well and his questions allow the experts to shine. Expert takes on complex geopolitical issues, Michael & Co as good questions and present a cohesive show. Love that it’s a longer show, don’t know why so many pods are 20-40 minutes in length, I could listen to experts speak on these topics for hours. Keep up the good work guys.

Good podcast with good information and variety of topics. But too long relative to other foreign policy podcasts. Could be tightened up to 30-40 minutes. And the incessant background music detracts from the conversations.

My daughter is Ethiopian and I have been following the civil war there closely. Great show guys. I am hooked. Would love to listen to one on Turkey given it’s current rise in the region and being such a central power affecting the Middle East, Caucasia, the balkans and North Africa.

Very good information. The speaker seems to be very politically left leaning though. Would be better if everything was done from a neutral point of view. Other than that it’s very good.

Love this show. Really excellent material and and show host. However, it is very annoying when a speaker sounds as though he/she is reading his/her research paper.
