Benjamin Bikman earned his Ph.D. in Bioenergetics and was a postdoctoral fellow with the Duke-National University of Singapore in metabolic disorders.  Currently, his professional focus as a scientist and professor (Brigham Young University) is to understand better the role of elevated insulin in regulating obesity and diabetes, including the relevance of ketones in mitochondrial function. Outside lab, Dr. Bikman is a devoted husband and father and enjoys nothing more than traveling and adventuring with his wife and three children.
