Love the recipe ideas using both western and Taiwanese ingredients. As a Taiwanese, I haven’t experimented with many North American ingredients as they weren’t common on my parents’ dinner table growing up. But the host explains the taste of such ingredients by suggesting like-Taiwanese-ingredients: this helps me understand how to “convert” Western ingredients to Eastern ingredients and encourages me to experiment.
This podcast is also educational from a language standpoint. I’ve learned many ingredient names in Chinese.”
