Room for Improvement
I agree with other reviewers who have said that this podcast could use some editing. I like each of the hosts; in particular, I have heard Suzanne Stabile on other podcasts and recordings and have enjoyed her teachings. However, this podcast is seriously lacking in direction, information, and diversity of "types". My biggest complaint is that the hosts have really failed to adequately summarize the enneagram istelf and, maybe more importantly, each enneagram type. Instead, each podcast is simply an interview of one of their friends, and they just jump right in with inside jokes and silliness, rather than giving the listener some context for what they are about to listen to. The interviews seem haphazard and meandering, and the audio quality is sometimes poor. They're not very even-handed in terms of which enneagram types they've interviewed -- I think they've interviewed three type 4s at this point, but have failed to inverview a single type 1 or type 3. I know that the two hosts know their stuff, but its hard to tell that from this podcast. I will probably read their book despite my experience with this podcast, but I don't think I will be listening to future episodes. They really do have some amazing potential here that I think they are failing to capitalize on. For people who are interested in really delving deep into the enneagram via a podcast, I heartily recommend trying out the "Wild Crazy Meaningful Ennneagram" podcast instead. Keep in mind though, that that one does not come from a Christian perspective, and so may not appeal to some listeners. However, it is succeeding at what this one fails to do, which is to engage and really inform the listener.Read full review »

I love this podcast for its narrative approach to the enneagram - and, as a four, I LOVE its uncut long form. So authentic! While the wisdom here is dense - I've relistened to almost every episode twice, to jot down notes or really think more about what is being shared - it is so worthwhile....Read full review »

Love the podcasts. I think it would be helpful to send the interviewees some of the questions beforehand. I know that this could compromise how "organic" the interview is, but at times it seems like some of the folks interviewed haven't really done a ton of work with the Enneagram. ...Read full review »

Love the content, enneagram wisdom has so much to teach us. This is a great formatt and once the hosts got comfortable it will improve greatly. The sound is not good, needs to be clearer and all at the same level, sometimes Ian is louder and sometimes Suzanne is louder, lets get some balance.
