Joanne as a guide on the journey
I find myself quoting Joanne frequently when I speak with people about my diet and lifestyle changes. I am anxiously awaiting her next episodes. My journey began December 2021 when I was fed up with recurring fibromyalgia and joint pain, inflammation from accident injuries and allergies, the diagnosis that acid reflux cannot be cured, and stabilizing that tricky thing called weight. Joanne's succinct manner of presenting the facts woven in with story is a great listen. In fact, I am a repeat listener because there's always something happening in my life that makes me ask a question and when you approach a subject with a different question you get a different answer you didn't know was there the first time around. There are several books I return to as well and I hope to find a doctor soon who "gets it" so my body's unique needs and differences are clinically supported -- less trial and error. In the meantime, I am fortunate that I have always been attentive to the instincts of my body--deciphering what is a dietary need from an addictive craving or behavioral pattern. This really is a journey, and thank you Joanne for making yourself available as one of the guides on the way. You have a gift.Read full review »
