“My mom introduced me to The Shining when I was 12, and home alone. Told me to go down in the basement and watch the movie she rented. Then on my 13th birthday slumber party she rented us The Exorcist. Pretty sure I lost some friends after that. Im not sure if it was this type of insensitive early exposure that has desensitized me slightly, but The Shining remains one of my favourite movies, and the exorcist still terrifies me, but I love the genre.”
