Great stories but ...
These are beautifully written and delivered podcasts, but it's hard not to be a little concerned about entire conversations and moments being invented out of whole cloth. There are also deliberate attempts to create heroes and villains out of real-life, interpersonal situations, which might be good entertainment but probably isn't good history.Read full review »

Anyone talking on a subject they know well and truly love will be a good listen. Add in a voice like a smooth malt, a natural feeling for the beat of a story, a gift for radio production and lack of fear for length (a plus in my book!) and you have something incredibly special.

What is there to say? This is an extraordinary podcast of immense detail, wisdom and entertainment.
