Not enjoyable & unprofessional
I am a former avid Shameless listener, but after the podcast became riddled with inside jokes I found it hard to keep listening and stay engaged. Fast forward 2 years of not listening, I decided to give the Boy Swallows adaptation episode a go because I’m a huge Dalton fan and couldn’t wait to dive in. To my surprise, the first host shared she didn’t like the book while the other host didn’t even finish it…I’m all for sharing different perspectives and experiences but if you’re hosting a podcast about books and their adaptations, while being paid, and can’t even at minimum finish the book, why are you hosting an episode about it? I couldn’t help but cringe thinking of Dalton himself listening to the episode. It felt a little disrespectful if I’m being honest. I could barely focus on the actual analysis because the majority of the episode, like Shameless, was filled with cackling (not the best listener experience, RIP ears). The concept of the pod sounded great in theory, but I truly feel like now because of Shameless’ success, listener experience and feedback is unimportant. The whole ep lacked substance. Shame cause I could tell Mich is a huge Dalton fan and would have prob done a better deep dive on her own.

Love the screen vs book reviews but please stop screaming over the top of each other, hard to listen.

I haven’t listened to any episodes but this is a Shameless Media podcast so you get an immediate 5 stars!
