Some questions about how you put this together
Hi - Came across this podcast mentioned in a Patagonia blog post, and decided to check out the "Ground Fall in Eldorado Canyon" episode. Compelling story, and I definitely enjoyed it. Two big questions came to mind when it was over: Why didn't you ask the subject about his rescue? After all, he had said that it was an our long hike in to the crag. How the hell did they get his battered, unconscious body out of there? And my other, related question: why didn't you talk to his climbing partners? Would have been fascinating (and probably terrifying) to hear the story from the perspective of the belayer. Maybe I'm missing the premise of this podcast (this is my first episode) -- do you just speak to one person? -- but it seems like these are two big holes in this story. If they were filled, it would have been a much richer picture of the near tragedy.Read full review »
