Applause for The Shift
As a 66 year old Canadian woman I have lived experience with the shift, but I am a newcomer to The Shift podcast. It has immediately become a restorative part of my day; listening to the engaging dialogue of Sam and the varied guests, then pondering my life. It is so cathartic to find myself in every speaker’s words; the desire for physical strength, the sense of being invisible, struggles with confidence, menopause, issues of weight. Last night, alone in my room, I felt seen & understood. I was tearful as I granted myself the grace to be me, warts & all. With each discussion, I am reminded of an acupuncturist placing a strategically placed needle to stimulate my natural healing and to promote my emotional well-being. As I continue to set quiet time aside to listen and learn, I look forward to achieving balance, all of my emotional ‘meridians’ having been re-evaluated.

I love this podcast, though sometimes it is unsuitable for listening to on the bus as it causes unstoppable outbursts of gleeful chortling and joyful cheering. Share it with all your pals.
