“I just want to point out that I have only listened to episodes from start to finish they are most positive on which are in the top 150 of their best episodes ever list, but I have listened to the final five minutes summary of many episodes to gauge whether I should listen to the full episodes or not.
There is no way someone could be that frothing at the mouth rage over a TV show. End of story. It comes across as fake. They often make valid points about the dip in quality of the show which prevents this rating from being lower, but their over-the-top angry reactions are all for show and there are bigger issues in our world these days more important than a TV show where creatives are complacent and not trying hard enough.
We got 10 great years of this TV show. That is more than most shows. Just enjoy it or stop your podcast. No one is forcing you to talk about something you don’t like, no matter how much you may think the opposite is true.
An example of believable and natural reactions and natural discussion of disappointing episodes of great TV shows is the Frasier podcast called We’re Listening where even in the episodes with continuity issues or disappointing writing they don’t yell and froth at the mouth or make grand claims about how awful it is what they’re not being forced to talk about. The co-hosts on that Frasier podcast sound rational and believable and talk like most people talk.”
