First time listener to the podcast. Like the in depth analysis. E D seems like a very convenient entity/excuse for police to use that in their report (BTW How can a human exhibit “superhuman” qualities?) If that is really a “thing,” if a person were to be exhibiting that behavior, and the police...Read full review »

As a recently graduated medical student, I’m always looking for materials to explain the “why” behind the guidelines and other clinical decisions that were not very clear before. On top of that, you guys are actually fun to listen to!

Ken is ‘one-of-a-kind’ and always entertaining. The nerdy section of each podcast allows you to understand the more nuance portion of the studies so you understand what is (or not) what the papers are trying to prove and who is reach beyond their limitation. Ken deserves a ‘high five’ for his...Read full review »

The SGEM truly takes a strong look at every paper it reviews. Its thoroughness truly brings out the best and worse in papers. This podcast will truly make you a skeptic in a positive way and you will in no doubt be entertained in the process. Great personality and a great person to work with....Read full review »

Dr. Milne provides a somewhat irreverent, often corny, but always evidence-based, perspective on emergency medicine, with the ever present Canadian twist. This is a must listen.

This is one of the absolute best medical education podcasts available. High yield topics that are very clinically relevant. This podcast not only teaches you the take home points of a paper but how to read the literature yourself. Highly recommended.

I have been listening to the SGEM since episode 62, and am hooked! It is a brilliant, easy to listen to podcast about EM and EBM, with a noble goal of reducing the knowledge translation window (how long it takes for the evidence to be translated into clinical practice) from 10 years to less than...Read full review »

As a medical student, I’m still getting my head around papers and evidence based practice, with SGEM it’s easy to follow and by listening every week I get repetition. Through case-based scenarios I find it easy to follow the reasoning behind the discussion even if it’s a bit beyond me!

One of the best podcasts out there. I have been a long time listener of EMRAP and ERCAST, and this is an excellent addition to EM podcasts. I have worked with Dr. Carpenter and can say there are very few people more versed on Evidence Based Medicine. Thanks guys!
