This was an outstanding episode amongst a wonderful series of intelligent interrogations of US political culture. Freddy seems to unearth the kind of commentators that I never hear across UK debates… even on the Spectator! Perhaps credit should be showered on his producer - Natasha Feroze. She...Read full review »

I love the perspective brought to listeners , consistently interesting

Julie Bindel’s extraordinary series of conversations with men rates as among the most profound, positive and hopeful examinations of some of the key issues in feminism. Excruciating to grapple with the underlying authoritarianism behind the deplatforming of these clear headed thinkers. More please!

A great interview about Lord Cameron and Trump; sobering but Spectator at its best

Sophisticated. Thought provoking. Balanced. Objective. Remember a couple of years ago when intellectual discourse still existed? That short time ago when adults could discuss issues, that is what this podcast reminds me of.

Always well moderated, intelligent and informed guest commentators, and easily the most accessible & rational overview of the current American primaries. I listen as soon as I see a new episode has dropped.

None of the Spectator podcasts are working in Apple Podcasts. I have to visit a 3rd party website and listen in a different app. Please fix.

Always love to hear from Douglas Murray, Andrew Doyle, Julie Bindel. Thank you to Freddie (editor) and all the Spectator staff!

This episode was riddled with bias and arrogance utterly lacking in balance what they heck are doing ??!!!! Stop it Very very disappointing

Good analysis. Yes, both YES and NO despair at the ongoing clash of cultures in remote areas. Living as virtual museum pieces, on country, cannot be the way forward for Aboriginal people in an ongoing clash of cultures. Colonialism is often touted as the bogey man but it’s about a clash with...Read full review »

It would be good if mic volumes on Spectator Out Loud were balanced.

One of the best I’ve heard …. Clear , articulate and pretty well Correct on everything !

The Best of Spectator offers a free look into the articles and subject matter covered by the Spectator publication. You can hear a wide range of subject matters with some of these being more interesting to you than others. This allows a lot of people the ability to listen to what they want to...Read full review »

Freddie Gray really does facilitate some utter drivel.

I could not get the feeling out of my mind that Eva Vlaardingerbroek did not sound credible, I could be completely wrong. I really needed the views from the side. Maybe you can do that on another show I would be interested.

Roger Stone’s rambling slagging of De Santis shows how low and weird US politics has got. Gray challenges the idiot so slightly is he letting him hang himself or invested in his nonsense - hard to tell.

Excellent podcast with just the right amount of balance. Insights are thought provoking and Freddie’s whit adds a little spice to the subjects discussed. Great work Freddie and team.

I usually like the spectator as a good balance to other media sources but the Americano podcast often strays too far into giving fringe opinions an uncontested platform - without applying the journalistic rigor I usually expect from the Spectator.

John M. has a rather bizarre attitude to the rights of countries. Think I respect the attitude of Poland , Baltic states, etc would you want to be in NATO rather than under the jackboot of Russian Totalitarianism. Part 2 Where was the challenge to a rather one sided view. Rather weak...Read full review »

In The Week in 60 Minutes: Germany held ransom and Biden’s Roe cop out, Ms. Andrew’s admits that she actually believed a vote for Joe Biden in November 2020 would herald in a period of political compromise and consensus building, as President Biden was promising. To what extent has the evil totalitarian communist Chinese regime infiltrated the wests universities and intellectual class. The spectator asks Oxford university and lays it all out for you. Amazing!

Just a great listen - informative, interesting, “listenable” Thanks to all involved

Thanks for that objectivity, or at least a good shot at it. Spectator manages to maintain the original concept that the medium is the vehicle through which balanced journalism can be distributed, rather than a device to influence public opinion. Very valuable during these times which demonstrate...Read full review »

Although it might be interesting I can’t listen to this series because of the outdated, sexist title. Why on earth would women want or need balls to be powerful and effective?

All of the Spectator’s podcasts have the feeling of an interesting conversation you’d have with an intelligent friend. Oscar Wilde used to say that the only unpardonable sin is to be boring — this podcast never commits that sin.

If you are interviewing Tucker Carlson, at least challenge his fallacies … you provided a platform with zero critique… Albright is a moron, nba and Hollywood owned by the Chinese … should I go on?

I stick to Best of Spectator podcasts as I don’t have time to follow every episode individually. It provides a good flavour of the Spectator’s thought-provoking output. I admit I tend to skip Table Talk as it’s not my thing. Spectator Out Loud is probably one of my favourites as it allows me to...Read full review »

Great episode with a very knowledgeable guest on this time in history. But goodness the interviewer from The Spectator seemed to be not able to speak into a microphone!
luv abc via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/07/21
The quality of the podcasts varies hugely unlike the magazine. If only the interviewers all spoke like Freddie grey and the interviewees had better microphone technique and edited themselves. Alec Baldwin on here’s the thing is a good quality benchmark

I listen pretty much everyday. An unparalleled current affairs pod. My favourite segment is Damian Thompson’s Holy Smoke. A shame it is not more frequent but it has so much potential
