A podcast with a great history of quality content surrounding board games. One of the first to offer timely Spiel (Essen) content and they continue to do outstanding convention coverage. Nice transition to a new host recently. Keep Up the good work.

Comprehensive podcast about board games and card games. Their coverage of the main annual events in the USA and Germany, together with their ‘Spiel Des Jahres’ coverage is simply second to none. Essential listening for all board game enthusiasts.

This is a little bit of a long podcast, but it is the most indepth discussions of games that you can get in podcast form. Besides highlighting the newest and hottest games, they also have a backshelf spotlight which brings older games to the forefront, which is a really nice change of pace. An...Read full review »

I've been listening to the Spiel back catalogue for about 9 months now and have to commend these guys on a truly excellent podcast. Informative upbeat and a good mix of the old and the new. I truly enjoy listening to The Spiel podcast with hosts Stephen Conway and David Coleson. They are both informative and entertaining. They have multiple segments each episode, so you can count on at least 2 or 3 games reviewed per show, some old and some new. Plus I can usually listen to entire...Read full review »

Great job guys! I've listened to every episode you have out there, and I always enjoy the show. I only wish you would not spend three episodes on GENCON. Not that I don't want some coverage, but three shows worth? That said, glad you were funded for 2013 and look forward to more...Read full review »

The hosts of The Spiel are more enthusiastic about their hobby, and more friendly in general, than any other podcasters out there, and what a difference it makes. Being positive works!

2 to 3 hours for one show is just too long. I like my podcast to stick to an hour or less. I just seem to tune out after about an hour of any podcast. I have dropped many a podcast after years of listening when shows started to consistantly get long. I would prefer a 1 hour show every week...Read full review »

Great podcast with insightful hosts. Interesting segments and exciting game explainations and reviews are the strengths of the show. Strong production value sets this above many of hobby game podcasts.

There are plenty of board gaming podcasts out there right now.
