A delightful show!
The moment I hear Lynn's friendly voice I just have to smile. Listening to this show is like hanging out with a group of cool, easygoing food lovers, experienced chefs and celebrity friends. This is not a show of snooty foodies- this is a fun romp that tackles everything from complicated recipes to simple questions about how to use a particular ingredient. I love the "Road Food" segment with Jane and Michael Stern every week - letting us know about some of the great forgotten place to eat across America. The occasional Stump the Cook segments featuring celebrity judges are always a blast, and the awesome selection of telephone themed songs to introduce the call in segment is always interesting. The Key Three series with great chefs sharing their three top recipes is fantastic. I learn so much on this show, about food & wine, ingredients and cuisines from around the world, food trivia and so much more. The Splendid Table always puts me in a great mood, and my Thanksgiving morning would not be the same without Lynne's annual Turkey Confidential episode, tackling all things turkey while I am elbow deep in my own bird. Love, love, love this show!

and is it possible to have a non-gay guest once in a while? Straight people like food too!

I enjoy the guest spots, especially from the writers of, "500 Things to Eat Before It's Too Late." However, I learn more from her advice to callers. If Kasper recommends something, I can be sure it's a good idea.Read full review »

I'm thrilled they're opted to have the entire show on iTunes- it's one of my favorite programs, but my newest work schedule had made listening at the broadcast times impossible. Good advice, interesting guests, and a lot of foodie chatter.Read full review »
