Role models
I love listening to your podcast - you are both so knowledgable and intelligent when it comes to hockey (both on and off the ice, which is so important). Additionally, it's so nice to hear from two people who understand the issues with the sport too and are able to honestly and critically engage with that side, in a way that a lot of hockey journalists are unwilling to do. Finally, I think one of the most important things about you two, and I’m not sure you realize this, is your honest representation. As someone of similar age, who is also a huge (but critical) hockey fan, who has experienced/does experience serious bouts with mental illness, it’s not only refreshing but incredibly important to me that there are people/voices like yours in this space. I admire you both and hope your successes only continue.Read full review »

So you two obviously know your stuff. And you show your personalities which is great. But sometimes the talk leads into too much “trash talking”. I feel with your knowledge a little more of a professional or mature way of talking about things you think are wrong would be better listening.

The best episodes are when Rachel gives some insight from the front office perspective. Rachel and Mike are great but are often both way over the top reacting to certain issues. Learn when to turn it up to 10 and use it in moderation. That would be my advice
