A go-to Podcast .
Since it’s inception The Stand has been a top 5 for me and deserving of a big thank you for lightening those dark Covid days. Up there with Callan , McWilliams , The Rest is History and more recently Empire and The Rest is Politics, the Stand has been a welcome education on national and international matters with Eamonn ably abetted by a stellar list of regular contributors . Tending towards the centre politically it tries to analyse and inform by giving time and space to these informative reporters . Long may The Stand continue . Pitchforks at the ready . Richard Ennis.

More reviews of The Stand with Eamon Dunphy
Great podcast to keep up to date and gain a better understanding of current affairs in Ireland and abroad, and of course sport. There’s no echo chamber here and I really enjoy Eamonn’s dispassionate questions to his guests.

Some of the politics interviews are excellent, Robert Fisk for example, the football stuff comes across as seriously dated though, they sound a bit clueless

Mr. Dunphy is opinionated, very opinionated but that is the gem of this podcast. I rarely agree with his point of few but I respect his willingness to allow both sides of an argument to develop.
