A remarkable piece of work
I almost didn’t download this podcast; true crime pods are often told by breathy presenters with an excitement and almost relish that betrays a lack of humanity and distances the listener from the real human tragedy. But I need not have worried because Isla Traquair manages to be both utterly professional as a journalist while allowing her genuine humanity to shine through. What’s more she manages to bring out the personalities of the justice team and show the listener just what fine people still exist to help others. I also had concerns that - as is do often the case - the family at the heart of the tragedy would be exploited. Not a bit of it, it was a real championing of their sadness and the spirit of the one they had taken from them. Well done Ms Traquair.

This is the standard to which all other crime podcasts should aim. A sad story expertly and sympathetically told by the host. Podcast of the year so far. Well done Isla and the team.
