How can you not get your 2 cents (worth less each day) in on what is happening in the country and the world - just Alberta politics is enough - for your hungry audience.

I'm so sad that this podcast is finished now. It is intelligent, insightful and irreverent. Politics from an insider's view that is well balanced. It is so rare to hear opposing views that are reasoned rather than caricatures and to find a Canadian podcast that isn't bland and boring. It is...Read full review »

It's so awesome, Zain should try to get these guys together twice a week!

A great listen and the most insightful look into Canadian politics you’ll find on iTunes. Zane is a skilled mediator who craftfully designs each show to cover a myriad of topics, in a depth you rarely see elsewhere. It’s amazing how well he demonstrates this considering what he has to work...Read full review »

An insightful and, as far as I can tell, honest look at politics today, from some guys who know what they're talking about. And man, do they like to talk! Listen in. You'll learn something.

understandable enough for casually informed taxpayers, naturally well paced and entertaining, balanced politically, and focused on actually explaining long and complicated things. i even enjoy the albertan aspect despite being a british columbian. probably helps that alberta politics are really...Read full review »

This podcast is great except for Zain Velji. His inability to keep the loutish Stephen Carter in check OR make the feckless Corey Hogan sound even remotely interesting ruins the show.

"I don't want to talk technical because we will lose half our listeners" -Corey trying to be both condescending and likeable. "Under. Under.... Under.......under...........under" -Stephen talking over Corey while Zain reminds us "this is interesting". "Is that the quickest we have found the...Read full review »

The Strategists is an awesome, insightful, hilarious political strategy podcast! The host (Zain "This is fascinating to me" Velji) asks the best questions with some sweet puns. Stephen "The reality is..." Carter ran the most lucrative mayoral campaign in Calgary history. This is a great podcast...Read full review »

Seeing as the corpse at the centre of the podcast is the horse that Steven keeps beating, Zain and Corey do a remarkable job of keeping the banter lively. Keep turning the barbs guys.

It's insightful and fun, though the Alberta side issues are a wee bit boring. But they're Albertans, so I guess they can't resist. I'm not going to say anything negative about any of them because I really like listening to this podcast, and the prizes on offer are lame. I have a can of Campbell...Read full review »

I blame David Coletto for introducing me to The Strategists (because he did). As far as Canadian political panels go — either in mainstream media or online — the Strategists is by far the best. The panel is insightful, funny and self-irreverant in a way other panels can only dream of being. It’s...Read full review »

Chester's fear of video (as documented in episode 58 back in '03) may have been a valid reason to not go to a video version, but now that he's resigned to spend more time with his family, its time for you to add the nuance of video to your message. That said, I do wonder how Zain, a...Read full review »

The Strategists offers excellent and insightful commentary on politics in Alberta, Canada, and occasionally the US. As political strategists they are able to shed light on much of the inside baseball that political shows with a more general audience shy away from. There's only one problem with...Read full review »

Long time listener, first time rater — The Strategists is the smartest political commentary in all of Canada. No one else comes close. The calculated, hard-hearted, no-nonsense Stephen Carter is a Canadian jewel — nicely balanced out by the emotion-led, spineless, in-the-bag-for-the-NDP drivel of...Read full review »

Carter and Hogan, Hogan and Carter.. seriously, they just like the sound of their own voices. Not since the glory days of Chester have the pundits been held accountable. Velji’s gotta go!

Carter and Cory Hogan bring it episode after episode but i can't for the life of me figure out why the CBC Netflix review guy and self confesed TV addict is doing as the host, other than cooking up puns and name droping obsure NBA players. Keep it up Carter and Hogan, Velji, stick to being the...Read full review »

The only strategic thing The Strategists ever did was trade Chester for Zain. And like all political strategists, they got it wrong. Otherwise a great show.

The only thing more absurb than Carter's views on US politics is the size of his freakishly small hands.

A very good review of politics from Alberta and the wider world. Would be better if Corey Hogan did not recount the same story of the 2006 liberal leadership race each episode but still good for the other two presenters. Let's get more BC focus as we go towards the next provincial election.

I love this show. It's hands down the best political podcast out there. Except the raging pinko Carter. I've never heard such an obvious closet Communist. If McCarthy was still here, I bet he could out him. Keep your failed mayoral campaign propaganda pinko.

What do you get when you mix Orange, Blue and Brown? Well… a putrid green I guess, but you also get two really smart political insiders making a fool out of the desperate straight man, Zain Velji.

Great.. except for Zain who I wouldn’t trust to moderate a kid’s birthday party. The podcast is smart, funny, and offers candid insight into the inner-workings of a strategist. Very fast paced podcast, fun and funny takes on current politics. The only part you may want to fast forward is Corey. Why? LOOK, he talks the most which is entirely too much. A political podcast with tremendous potential that is snuffed out each time the Brocialist Buffoon Corey Orange Crush Hogan spews his dipper apologist propaganda while intermittently assuming an on bended knee position of worship at the Royal Purple Throne of Nenshi. Other than that, it's great.
