“I cringed when I heard that Piya was going to be the new host, and my concerns have proven to be justified. Her interview style is just....bad. It makes me uncomfortable for her guests at times, and I don’t understand how she has been continually promoted over the years to the point that she has landed such a key host position in the CBC Radio lineup. She comes across as undereducated and out of her depth, often doing a great disservice to potentially great interview subjects. Some hosts just have that natural ability to weave a conversation and connect with people. I just don’t feel that with her, and it’s to the detriment of the show.”

“I usually listen to this over two days, Saturday and Sunday. I used to catch it live on Sunday but nowadays I rely on podcasts to get my fix. This is basically my only news source as well as the most Canadian cultural contemporary complete and comforting podcast around.”
