Interesting story but overcooked
This is a fascinating story on its own that really didn’t need the narrator’s attempts to embellish it with false dramatic tension. It was great to hear Chris’ perspective as one of the two protagonists but some of the other more obscure vox pops could have been cut, especially noting the absence of more relevant opinions such as those of NAB & ABS and the impact (albeit small) this would have had on those agencies. I would have liked to have heard more about the mechanics of the fraud, more about how the police used the evidence to lead to the convictions (I remember from my time at the ABS the AFP coming in to seize the computer on the day of the arrests) -- and less about what prison life was like which isn’t specific to the crime in question. I guess the producers were worried about a ‘finance heist’ being too nerdy or difficult to understand, but the result is just an overdramatised podcast that doesn’t address some of the more interesting parts of this unique crime.

Well put together & interesting account of greed, overconfidence & entitlement. Also an interesting reflection on financial markets & some of the very young men who work in a system that can have a great impact on society as a whole.

Such an interesting story but way overproduced. Too many third party opinions that add nothing. Could have been a lot more concise.
