An interesting take on 60s set Agatha Christie novels
This podcast is good. So good. It hits the sweet sport of combining a „chatty“ format between 2 friends and dealing less with plot (as „all about Agatha“ does) but rather looking at the setting, the mood and time context of both the books & films…and indeed how contemporary Christie was in the 60s. Some will be surprised by the focus on 60s as we have been conditioned though Suchet‘s Poirot to view Poirot as of the 1930s and by Joan Hickson‘s early 80s shot lens as being of the early 1950s - but Agatha Christie’s books in the 60s are an oft neglected subject. This podcast is informative, intriguing, comfortable and of course „swinging“….and who doesn’t want that?
