Stand-Out Podcast Teaches the Neglected Parts of Writer's Craft! Amazing!
I am not a review-type-person, if there is such a thing, having only ever left one other podcast review in all my years of voracious consumption of the medium. Both times, it was only because the podcast's writer's craft lessons were so incredibly helpful that my guilt over getting such amazing content for free overpowered my natural reserved nature. There are lots of podcasts out there about story development, but this is one of the few that actually tells you how to write the darned thing once it's developed--how to craft the sentences, build the paragraphs, and how to balance character thought, action and speech. The show actually delves into the middle level of writing, the part that's not granular like grammar but that's also not zoomed all the way out, like story structure--it's all the actual writer's craft stuff, the middle part, the hard part (if you ask me). Another dreaded middle. The 'Hack the Craft' episodes are a particularly helpful road map! Thank you Taylor and Steven for the great work. Highly recommended!Read full review »

I’m also a fan of her co-host, Stephen Campbell —...Read full review »
