No matter the "age of consent" - he was her teacher, due to this already he had power over her, she was in a vulnerable situation because of her family and needed an adult to show attention to her: and he tood advantage of that. This is not a "relationship", this is clear exploitation no matter if the young person "consented". For a young person to say no to an adult that shows them attention and has power over them, requieres that the young person has a strong support system and knowledge of healthy relationships - and someone to turn to. It's common for youth to have feelings for their exploiters and think they were the active part in "the relationship". This is also a mean of survival. It's also common for other adults to blame the young persons in these situations and even punish them for the actions of the perpetrators.”Read full review »
