I love this podcast as a trainee Journalist! It really gets behind the scenes of how journalists carry out their investigations, how they follow a hunch and take steps to develop a story with gripping storytelling throughout. Keeps me super motivated, entertained and helps me learn so much :-)

Just found this podcast. Love this approach that I find hard to describe. Maybe, honest? Not much of that honesty in journalism here in USA and,😉around the world concerning Covid, especially in the msm. Thank you! Also, the sound quality, the music, general production is top notch. All greatly...Read full review »

This well presented and structured podcast is truly compelling to listen to as you learn about how journalists with very few resources have exposed major corruption, scandals and even murder. The Tip Off is one of my favourite podcasts.

Awesome podcast that really opened my eyes. As someone who would love to break into investigative journalism but doesn’t really know how / where to start, listening to The Tip Off has given me a basic understanding of how to find stories etc! Well worth a listen.

It is great to have a woman journalist interviewing other investigative journalists about their work. It is well-narrated and mixed and brings a great behind-the-scenes look into how investigations are carried out.

Dark Money.... what about the money that was spent on Remain. This is rubbish journalism. Possibly funded by the BBC...?

What a fascinating episode. Beautifully and articulately told. The story about the twins being separated was so tragic. It’s hard to fathom what goes through the minds of social services when they do things like that, but I guess if the UK is anything like Australia it’s critically under...Read full review »

And I listen to ALL of them. Very, very good audio journalism. I audibly “yessss” when there is a new one out. Such a great insight into the lengths journalists have to go to - and the sacrifices they have to make - to unearth a story. Please keep them coming!!

Just found this podcast on a recommendation from my daughter. And it’s super. Great insight into how stories are discovered and developed, and then stood up. Reminder of the hard work journalists often have to do and what we owe then for shining a light. And hey... I’ve got the pleasure of a pile...Read full review »

I love the insight into UK specific cases as many stories focus on the US so it’s a little more unique and culturally different than other podcasts of this nature. The tribute to journalism and the art of never letting go is really well told here. The only slight criticism is the background music while people are speaking; it’s too loud and difficult if you are hard of hearing. Other than that, it’s a great listen

It helps me put humanity back in journalism. I really needed this.thank you journalists that put in all your energy, time, money, less family time, to get word out! It seems like such a more exciting job than I realized!

Great podcast which has you binging episodes in no time. Interesting stories told in an intriguing way. Great journalism deserves this kind of spotlight. I quite like this podcast, but it drives me nuts that the host pronounces “th” as “f” in the middle of words. She doesn’t do th-fronting too so it’s clearly not an actual speech impediment. It’s so annoying I’m not sure if I can listen to her anymore, which is a shame as most of the stories are...Read full review »
